MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT

To those unfamiliar with our organization I would like to take this opportunity to offer some insight and orientation as to our purpose, goals, activities and objectives. I trust that the following will prove helpful and informative.

We are a non-profit organization. Our meetings are held on the first Monday of each month at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 397 Clarke Avenue Staten Island, NY. All Meetings, functions, updates and activities are on our website, Which is regularly updated. Our Newsletter is mailed in January.

With Union Locals- 831 and 444 and from their presidents, Harry Nespoli and Joe Mannion respectively, we receive regular updates. We support other Fraternal organizations: Columbia, Emerald, Afro-American, Hispanic, Pulaski, Asian, Jade, ect. and we are allied with the Brooklyn Neighborhood Improvement Association (NIA), Adult Autism Centers and the Cooley’s Anemia Foundation.

Part of our agenda is fighting for enhanced Cost Of Living Adjustment (COLA). We also provide information and updates on pension topics and health and drug plans.

We have a Thanksgiving Turkey Give Away, our Annual Memorial Mass and Breakfast and we sponsor a Christmas Party for all our members. Our Scholarship Award Program presents a $450 check to each boy and girl with the highest SAT scores.

I trust that every retiree will decide to become a member of our organization, visit our website for the latest news, attend our monthly meetings where you’ll find and catch up with a lot of old friends and become part of our one thousand plus, membership family. Annual Dues is $25.
